Laboratory Technician position available with the City
of
Plant Operator (Posted 8-25-2010) Lancaster Area Sewer Authority, a 15 MGD regional wastewater treatment plant facility located in Washington Boro, PA, is seeking individual for the position of Plant Operator. Applicant must have thorough knowledge of and experience with the methods, techniques and practices of wastewater treatment. Successful candidate will provide day-to-day monitoring/operation of equipment; perform routine tests and inspections and basic maintenance and repairs; and adhere to safety standards and procedures of the industry. Required abilities include operating light and heavy equipment; diagnosing and resolving problems; working in a team environment; interfacing with a computer controlled operating system; and adhering to schedules. Candidate must possess a PA Dept. of Environment Protection Wastewater Operators Certificate, Class A, Subclass 1, and PA Commercial Drivers License, Class B with airbrakes endorsement, at time of hire, and pass a pre-employment medical exam and drug test. Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent
The City of Lebanon Authority is currently seeking a
Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent.
This individual is responsible for exercising
considerable independent judgment in administering,
managing, and supervising programs, activities, and
functions related to the construction, extension,
inspection, operation, and maintenance of the wastewater
collection system.
This individual is also responsible for the
proper monitoring and reporting of the operation
including reporting to other members of management, the
Board of Directors, and to various government agencies
including the DEP and EPA.
This individual
oversees union and non-union employees.
Requirements for the position include a PA
Wastewater license, a valid PA Driver’s license,
previous management experience, and previous experience
working in a wastewater treatment plant. A college
degree in biology, chemistry, environmental engineering,
or a related field is preferred.

NPDES parameters are met, coordination of a

Maintenance program.
Occasionally will involve hands-on
