The Instructor

Bob Norcross is a program manager and instructor for the Environmental Institute at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown, Delaware.  For the past 21 years, he has taught Refrigeration and Maintenance Technology at DelTech.  Mr. Norcross provides instruction in the areas of electrical / mechanical, industrial ammonia refrigeration, and industrial maintenance.

Training

This one-day session will include lecture, demonstration, and hands-on student participation in trouble-shooting control circuits and electrical components.  Each student will receive a copy of Electrical Troubleshooting, valued at $27 and included in the registration fee.

Additional Information

Certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who meet attendance time requirements.  THESE CERTIFICATES MAY NOT HAVE ANY PA-DEP training value.  Pa-DEP training credits will be transmitted to the DEP in the format required.  DEP will keep training records of all certified operators.  Individuals in training to become certified operators will have their attendance recorded and maintain by the Association.

A PA-DEP "CLIENT IDENTIFYING NUMBER" [CID] is required for training credit certification by the Association to PA-DEP.  If you are certified, the C.I.D. is shown on your license (certificate).

Training location maps and directions will be included in the registration verification mailing.

Certification Credit

This training course will have 5.0 contact hours of PA-DEP credits available to qualifying registrants.

To qualify for the credit(s) each applicant that desires the credit MUST:

  1. Completely and legibly fill in the proper registration form.
  2. Send a legible copy of his/her in force current PA Operator Certificate with your registration for the course.
  3. Pay the proper registration fee.
  4. Be on time; be present during and at the conclusion of the instruction periods.  Attendance will be checked.
  5. Be prepared to show photo ID upon arrival.
  6. Take part in the class exercises and discussions.
  7. Only certified operators in their training cycle will receive training hour credit from PA_DEP.  A copy of your license certificate must be transmitted with your registration form and payment.  Others will be recorded utilizing their PA OLN (drivers license number).

Please note

All registrants will be notified via U.S. Mail of the acceptance or rejection of their registration approximately 10 days prior to the training being offered.  Registration must be received by Thursday, May 20, 2003 to allow for ample preparation and to enable the course to operate on schedule.

It is strongly recommended that checks for this registration be drawn separate for the training being offered and not co-mingled with other event checks.  The checks will be held until the registration verification / rejection letters are mailed.

Registration substitution will be accepted until the start of the training session.  A fee of $15 is required and must be accompany a completed registration form and certification license copy, if applicable.
